IGEP Trust has worked in close cooperation with the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) to help promote the Indian textile industry in the international market. Apart from promoting Indian textile brands in international trade fairs, it has also facilitated in the facilitating International Partnership for textile training and fashion development institutes in India.
IGEP Trust organized the participation of over 200 Indian companies in International Trade Fair 'Heimtextil' in 1998 to promote Brand of Indian Handloom Industry. India was the partner country at the fair. IGEP Trust was actively involved in the fair preparation along with India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) and the participating companies. IGEP Trust assisted ITPO and the office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Govt of India, in publishing all the promotional material in both English and German language journals and magazines. Special marketing assistance was provided to several Indian companies by sending their samples to several German companies and buying groups. IGEP Trust also joined hands with Lufthansa to offer a special discount for all the participants from India travelling from India. IGEP Trust also in collaboration with service providers, designed the stalls of several Indian companies.
Pearl Academy is one of India's leading fashion and design institute. They had requested IGEP Trust to identify an international reputed partner. LDT Nagold is a leading institution in Europe on fashion and marketing. It specializes exclusively in retail education and training. The purpose was to have regular student and faculty exchanges between the institutes. IGEP Trust approached LDT Nagold and brought the two institutions (LDT Nagold and Pearl) together and facilitated in their signing a partnership agreement for student and faculty exchange.
