Vocational Training

In order to secure employment and thus reduce poverty, a special importance is attached to vocational training. Qualified vocational training therefore enables the trainees to act as role models for others and furthermore provides the basis for them in order to make a living. Together with Merck, Germany, IGEP thus sets a special focus on vocational training centres for people in need. Therefore, projects in both Butbaria and Pandedih have been created to improve the living conditions of the people in this area. These training centres are not only a place where people are given education but it is also a place for these people to acquire skills for their future.

IGEP runs tailoring centres both in Butbaria and Pandedih to impart knowledge of tailoring to people in the Giridih District. These centres were initiated with the support of Merck, Germany. Following the training, IGEP provides help with finding a job and earning extra income through cooperation with private companies. In order to reach out to more rural areas, IGEP makes an effort to start initiatives to implement such training centres in other villages.
